Amongst the other important tasks, following are the QEC key periodical activities:
Self-Assessment Process: QEC is involved in the implementation of “Self-Assessment Process” as per HEC requirement. The process is being carried out that contains self-assessments reports by assessment teams, aimed to improve the quality of academic programs and reviews to ensure that proper corrective actions are taken, based on the recommendations in implementation plans.
Anti-Plagiarism Policy: QEC is also involved in the implementation of HEC anti-plagiarism policy in the University. All M.Sc. and Ph.D. theses and papers submitted for publication in the Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences (JEAS) are checked for plagiarism.
Faculty Evaluation: QEC conducts the evaluation of faculty members and courses by the students of all programs. Student feedback of faculty members’ teaching performance, curricula and facilities is shared with faculty members and competent authorities for corrective measures/improvement.
PEC Accreditation Visits: QEC provides support to various teaching departments in preparations for accreditation visits by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
Academic Affiliation: The QEC is also involved in the affiliation of institutions with the university.
As per HEC requirement, QEC works closely with teaching departments of HEC, to implement the curriculum guidelines for updating curricula and bringing it at par with international standards to meet the needs of country.
Implementation of HEC guidelines and policies on Tenure Track System (TTS), in collection and compilation of data
Facilitating accreditation of new B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs with PEC and HEC.
Facilitating conduction of the Institutional Performance Evaluation (IPE) process and implementation of the corrective measure suggested by the team through proper forum.
