On May 16, 2024, the students of the 2nd semester of the Telecommunication Engineering Department visited the headquarter of the Frequency Allocation Board (FAB) in Islamabad. The faculty members, Dr. Usman Ali and Engr. Waleed Shihzad, along with the students, were warmly welcomed by the Executive Director of FAB in Islamabad, Pakistan. The students toured various sections of FAB, where they were briefed on Satellite Frequency Coordination and the Role of FAB, Spectrum Monitoring, and Spectrum Allocation. The students were highly motivated and showed great interest in the different demonstrations presented. At the end, the Executive Director of FAB presented a souvenir to Dr. Usman Ali.

The Frequency Allocation Board (FAB) is a premier spectrum management organization in Pakistan, created by the Government of Pakistan. It analyzes and assigns portions of the radio spectrum to intended wireless users in the country. It safeguards and monitors the national spectrum to ensure its optimum utilization across Pakistan.
