Final Year Project (FYP) Exhibition and Job Fair were organized by Dr. Salman, Assistant Professor/Chief Organizer, and his team on August 18, 2022, in the new Academic Block, UET Mardan for Session 2018-22 Batches of Electrical Engineering, Computer Software Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, and Computer Science departments. The event was partly sponsored by the Directorate of Youth Affairs, District Mardan. The chief guest, Mr. Tufail Anjum, Member Provincial Assembly, KP graced the event. Officials from industry and various firms, parents and prospective students also attended the event.

Prof. Dr. Shahid Khattak, Honorable Vice-Chancellor, UET Mardan formally inaugurated the event and welcomed the evaluators, teachers, students, and visitors to the UET Mardan’s finest FYP exhibition 2022. He further added that FYP is a continuous learning process and every student starts learning a very diverse set of techniques, tools, and tricks while they select their project title. He appreciated the efforts of students, project supervisors and wished the students a bright future while examining the projects on display himself, mentioning that the final year project is a regular feature of Engineering studies and should be commercialized in its first quarter. On this occasion, Dean University of  Engineering and Technology Mardan, Professor Doctor Imran Khan, and Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Sadiq Ullah were also present.

The projects comprised amalgamated titles of Software, Telecommunication, Power, Communication, and Computer Industries.  The projects were themed on, Asset Management, different file Tracking systems, automation of quiz and examination, bill payment systems, footstep-based energy generation, various types of converters for electrical systems, automation, and control, industrial projects like degreasing plant prototype, Armored Personal carrier automation, Forgery detection in fingerprints, sui gas meter health monitoring, Monitoring and treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis, AI based Brain tumour detection and classification, designs of various antennas and its simulations, collection and distribution of tangible donations using an app (WASEELA), Machine failure prediction using machine learning, target detestation using thermal imager feed, etc.

The Job Fair took students attraction at 10:30 am in which several software houses, industries, and businesses interviewed the brilliant minds, offering them apprenticeships and Jobs after their graduation. Officials from firms, including Bizcube Tech, Red Stones technologies, Soft Transcents, 10 UP, Codematics, Eziline Software, ITEC, Fast Cables, Silver Stone Tyres, Sarhard Board and Chemicals, Chamber of Commerce Mardan, Chamber of Commerce Gadoon. Marble Association, NAYATEL, Stormfiber, Hattar Industries Association, and KPEZDMC, participated in this job fair.

Moreover, the final year students also had an opportunity to cash out their projects by showcasing their work at the university and departmental level, and by getting nominated for top projects. The projects were evaluated in terms of their design, completeness, application, novelty, and reusability. These top projects were awarded 40000 cash prizes by the chief guest Mr. Tufail Anjum, Member of Provincial Assembly, KP. The prizes were sponsored by UET partner, the Directorate of Youth Affairs, District Mardan.
