Fifth (5th) IAB Meeting, Department of Computer Software Engineering
Fifth (5th) meeting of the Industrial Advisory Board (IAB), Department of Computer Software Engineering was held on Tuesday 9th March 2021 at 12 PM in the conference hall of the University of Engineering and Technology, Mardan under the convenorship of Prof. Dr. Ibrar Ali Shah, Chairman of the Department.
The IAB discussed different aspects of the current program and recommended revisions in core as well as elective courses of the existing Curriculum in view of the new trends in Software Engineering and industry demand. Efforts being made by the Department for students’ internship placement and industry-based final year projects were shared with the Board. The Board emphasized further strengthening the academia-industry linkages and suggested mechanisms for supervised internships of the students. Mapping of Program’s Educational Objectives to Program’s Learning Outcomes, revision in the graduating survey/Internship forms, and clarification related to Continual Quality Improvement (CQI) for the BSc. The computer Software Engineering Program was also discussed in the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Engr. Shakir Ali, System Engineer, 10UP, Engr. Asad Iqbal, CEO, Hiwas Technologies, Engr. Saleem Ullah, CEO, Red Stonz Technologies, Peshawar, representatives from Bloggers’ Academy, Peshawar, Dr. Nasru Minallah, Associate Professor, Deptt: Computer Systems Engineering, UET Peshawar and Dr. Sohail Yousaf, Assistant Professor, Deptt: Computer Sciences & IT, UET Peshawar. Dr. Muhammad Ali, Director ORIC, Engr. Fahim Ullah Khan, OBE Coordinator and Engr. Muhammad Humayon Khan, Career Liaison Officer also attended the meeting.
